Earlier this morning, Searchlight Pictures revealed the official trailer for A Real Pain. The latest filmmaking endeavor from Jesse Eisenberg, who also stars alongside Kieran Culkin, the movie has been a hit at numerous film festivals all year. Now, it prepares to hit theaters on November 1st with a trailer highlighting Culkin’s terrific performance. Back at Sundance, our own Joey Magidson was very fond of the film, writing here that “Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg are both excellent, with Culkin especially going above and beyond. His blend of coolness and spaciness, as well as the deep well of sadness he’s tapping into is something to behold. This might just be the best work of his career so far.”
This is the official synopsis: “Written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg. Mismatched cousins David (Jesse Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin) reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the odd-couple’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.”
