As it plays to more strong early critical reception at the Toronto International Film Festival after winning a prize at the Venice Film Festival, there’s been a lot of discussion and speculation about who will pick up Brady Corbet‘s The Brutalist. Our editor Joey Magidson saw and reviewed the movie here, finding much more in it than he expected. Well, the wait for a distributor is now over.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, A24 has picked up Corbet’s film. The New York Film Festival is up next after TIFF, with presumably a 2024 release date planned to capitalize on all the buzz. More to come, but A24 is now handling this hotly anticipated title.
