‘The Acolyte’ Will Not Get a Second Season

Some sad Star Wars news, at least for some, dropped yesterday. After a divisive first season, those who enjoyed The Acolyte were pumped for a Season Two. The series from Leslye Headland had the reviews, but apparently, the numbers just weren’t there for it to move forward.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a second season of The Acolyte will not be happening. Viewership on Disney+ was too low to justify the cost of another season. So, what we have of the show is all we’re going to get. There’s more Star Wars on the horizon, both streaming and eventually on the big screen, but this particular story has come to an end.
