‘Chasing Chasing Amy’ Documentary Picked Up by Level 33

For over a year now, the documentary Chasing Chasing Amy has been playing film festivals to some acclaim. Our own Joey Magidson reviewed fondly out of Tribeca here, calling it “quite beautiful.” Sav Rodgers‘ look at the film Chasing Amy includes none other than Kevin Smith himself helping Rodgers consider its legacy. Now, it looks like more than just festival audiences will be able to see the doc.

According to Variety, Level 33 Entertainment has acquired the documentary. They have a fall release planned for the movie, which means it could even be a long shot Best Documentary Feature contender. If it’s as good as Joey says, that’s certainly possible. Mostly, it just means we’re finally going to get to see it, and that’s a good thing.
