Earlier this week, I shared with you all my picks for the best films and performances of the first half of 2024. That piece can be found here, and I hope everyone read it. Here’s the thing, though…that’s just my selections. Here at Awards Radar, we’re curious about your picks as well. So, this weekend’s Awards Radar Community Question is your chance to let loose. We want to know the following: what was your favorite film of the first half of the year?
If it’s a movie from my list, I’m certainly not going to be upset. Whether it’s Challengers, Civil War, Dune: Part Two, Hit Man, or Inside Out 2 (just to name a handful from my top ten), you should say so. My 120 or so titles I’ve seen are hardly just hidden indies, so there stands a good chance you’ve seen several of my favorites. If you loved one of them as well, don’t be shy!
If it’s something else entirely, that’s 100% okay with me. Maybe you’re all about Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga? How about I Saw the TV Glow? Perhaps Love Lies Bleeding? You should say so, if that’s the case. Especially if you have somewhat unusual taste, this is a safe space to champion your favorite first half projects. Your affection for these flicks will be met with nothing but acceptance.
