‘F1’ Announces Title and Poster, with Sneak Preview to Come This Sunday!

Warner Bros. and Apple Original Films have unveiled the title for their upcoming Joseph Kosinski-directed picture centered on Formula One. Aptly titled F1, the film will star Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodinia, and Samson Kayo.

Here is the official plot synopsis:

“From Apple Original Films, “F1” stars Academy Award winner Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid. The feature is being shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport.”

The film is made in collaboration with Formula 1® and the F1 community, including the 10 F1 teams and their drivers, the FIA, and race promoters. Lewis Hamilton will also executive produce, with Copper CEO Penni Throw, alongside Pitt, Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner.

The film will be released in theatres and IMAX on June 27, 2025, with international markets getting it two days earlier, on June 25. Check out the poster below, and look forward to a special sneak peek at the movie dropping this Sunday at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix!
