After the success of Causeway, Apple Original Films and A24 are reteaming with Jennifer Lawrence for a new movie, a murder mystery titled The Wives, which will star Lawrence in the lead role. Not only that, but she will also act as one of the producers with Justin Ciarrocchi and Jeremy O. Harris.
Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley are penning the screenplay, which is currently in development, with no director attached to helm the picture at this stage. The movie is being described as partly inspired by The Real Housewives, with no further details known for now.
It’s still another massive project for Apple, who has frequently partnered with A24 to release films on their streaming service, Apple TV+. They are currently collaborating with Spike Lee and Denzel Washington on a remake of Akira Kurosawa‘s High and Low and have released the two-part documentary STEVE! (Martin) a Documentary in 2 Pieces and will soon premiere Sunny, a television series starring Rashida Jones.
