It’s also worth keeping in mind that the most successful or well-regarded film to emerge from Critics’ Week isn’t always the top prize winner: Charlotte Wells‘ masterful childhood roman à clef Aftersun, future Palme d’Or winner Julia Ducournau‘s debut feature Raw, and David Robert Mitchell‘s horror cult classic It Follows are a few movies that did not win the grand prize.
Very true!
