The ‘Verse!: ‘LOTR: Return of the King BLINDSPOT plus Gem State Comic Con

Call the press! The ‘Verse! Squad has finally fixed their video relay, so listeners can finally put faces to names and…well, sorry to disappoint. In other news, it’s been an awfully long time since we had one of our famous ‘Verse! Squad Blindspot episodes (echo, echo, echo!), so join us in the OR to finally cure Bridget of her Lord of the Rings original trilogy culture gap. This is a beloved series for three-quarters of the squad. Will it become beloved by all? Well, that would be no fun at all! We revisit why Bridget hasn’t watched the movies before, her favorite moments from Return of the King, and wonder if more of the fellowship should have died. Yeah. We went there.

We also react to Lucas’s coverage of the Gem State Comic Con, getting direct intel from our beloved third rock on the best cinematic universes, the state of the MCU and the DCEU, and peep some all-star cosplay.

What’s your opinion on Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings? Theatric release or extended editions? Best of the trilogy? Who is your Middle Earth ride or die? Let us know on our socials @TheVerseCast where we post news, announcements about the pod, and collect listener questions.

If you stick around after the credits, don’t forget: when one blindspot gets filled in, another door cackles with malice…

Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube where we post news, announcements about the pod, and collect listener questions.
