Without question, one of the most anticipated films of the year is Joker: Folie à Deux. A sequel to the Oscar-winning Joker, we know that filmmaker Todd Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix are being joined this time by none other than Lady Gaga. We also know that the movie is a musical. Now, we reportedly know what kind it is.
According to Variety, the Joker sequel is going to be more of a jukebox musical than an original one. So, while there could be an original song or two for Gaga by the end, it seems right now like her, Phoenix, and company will be singing hits we already know. It’s an interesting choice, to be sure.
