First Trailer for ‘Inside Out 2’ Introduces New Emotions

The first trailer for Inside Out 2 has been released online. Directed by Kelsey Mann and written by Meg LeFauve, the movie stars Maya Hawke, Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Tony Hale, and Liza Lapira. Hale and Lapira are replacing Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling, as Fear and Disgust, respectively, who played the characters in the 2015 original.

Here is the plot synopsis:

“Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.”

In a statement, director Kelsey Mann teased the role that Anxiety would have in the film, saying, “Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat. That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.”

Additionally, a poster was also released, which you can look at below:

You can watch the trailer below and see the movie only in theatres on June 14:
