First Trailer for ‘Fingernails’ Releases After Telluride and TIFF Premieres

The first trailer for Christos Nikou‘s Fingernails has been released online after a premiere at the Telluride Film Festival, followed by a Toronto International Film Festival bow. Written and directed by Nikou, the film stars Jessie Buckley, Riz Ahmed, Jeremy Allen White, Luke Wilson, and Annie Murphy. Initially slated to release in theatres a week before its Apple TV+ release, the movie will now bow out simultaneously in select cinemas and on streaming on November 3.

Here is the plot synopsis:

“Anna and Ryan have found true love. It’s been proven by a controversial new technology. There’s just one problem: Anna still isn’t sure. Then she takes a position at a love testing institute and meets Amir.”

Additionally, a poster was also released, which you can look at below:

Our editor-in-chief, Joey Magidson, had the chance to watch the film during Telluride and praised the performances of Buckley and Ahmed, stating that “Buckley is our focus, though Ahmed really mixes well with her once he enters the picture. Buckley has unique chemistry with both men, helping to really set up the triangle of sorts that develops. Also in the cast are Annie Murphy, Luke Wilson, and more, but this is really about Ahmed and especially Buckley.” You can read his full review of the movie here.
