Christopher Nolan is Still Interested in Making a James Bond Film?

As Oppenheimer proves to be a hit (raved about here by Joey), Christopher Nolan has been getting fans very intrigued by what he might plan to do next. Recently, he declined to say he’d never make a Star Wars movie, even while saying he was done with superheroes. Another iconic series he seems to have affection and wouldn’t rule out working with? James Bond.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nolan continues to express interest in the Bond franchise. On an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, he spoke of its influences on his work, as well as his openness to making one. Of course, he also said it would have to be the right opportunity, much like with Star Wars, so it’s unlikely that this will ever happen. Nolan has as much creative freedom as anyone in Hollywood, so any preexisting property for him is a long shot at this point in his career. Still, it’s definitely a lot of fun to think about 007 and Nolan coming together one day.
