Revisiting and Re-Appreciating ‘Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse’

The squad looks back on 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in anticipation of the newly released sequel, Across the Spider-Verse. Which we all have seen but cannot discuss yet because we are too busy interviewing some of the coolest people behind Star Trek: Picard… oh yeah and most the cast of The Boys. You know how it is, whatever Door-thy (our resident murderous AI sentient doorway) wants, she gets. Don’t worry, we’ll catch up soon.

Some of us say Into the Spider-Verse is the best Spiderman movie ever created, and the rest of us…well, we agree! We look back on how revolutionary this film was, from both a technical and narrative standpoint, and relive our favorite moments and Spidey characters.

If you stick around after the credits, you might just strike gold…

Written by Steven Prusakowski

Steven Prusakowski has been a cinephile as far back as he can remember, literally. At the age of ten, while other kids his age were sleeping, he was up into the late hours of the night watching the Oscars. Since then, his passion for film, television, and awards has only grown. For over a decade he has reviewed and written about entertainment through publications including Awards Circuit and Screen Radar. He has conducted interviews with some of the best in the business - learning more about them, their projects and their crafts. He is a graduate of the RIT film program. You can find him on Twitter and Letterboxd as @FilmSnork – we don’t know why the name, but he seems to be sticking to it.
