Bradley Cooper to Play Frank Bullitt in Steven Spielberg’s Next Film

For those who thought that Steven Spielberg would be done with filmmaking after The Fabelmans, think again. Spielberg is currently developing his next project, which will center around the character of Frank Bullitt. Steve McQueen portrayed the character in the iconic 1968 Peter Yates film titled Bullitt. However, this will not be a sequel, nor a remake to that movie, but a completely original story based on the character.

Now, Deadline reports that Bradley Cooper is set to star as Frank Bullitt, having closed a deal to play the character. He will also be producing the film with Spielberg, Kristie Macosko Krieger, Chad McQueen, and Molly McQueen. Josh Singer will be writing the screenplay.

As per the Deadline article , Cooper and Spielberg have been in discussions to craft a Bullitt story since during the COVID-19 lockdown, as the two wanted to team up to make a film together for quite some time. It looks like this legendary team up will finally happen, and hopefully be a major awards contender in the process? It’s likely to be the case.
