New Trailer for ‘Black Adam’ Sees Dwayne Johnson as the Iconic Anti-Hero

Has the hierarchy of power in the DC universe changed already? Dwayne Johnson definitely likes to think so, as the latest trailer for his highly anticipated superhero movie Black Adam released online yesterday. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, and with a screenplay by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani, the movie will star Johnson, Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Mohammed Amer, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, and Viola Davis.

Its plot synopsis reads “In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has gone from man, to myth, to legend. Now released, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone.”

A new poster was also released before the trailer came out, which you can look at below:
