Focus Features has released the first trailer for Armageddon Time, directed by James Gray. There is no exact plot synopsis for the film, which is described to be about a deeply personal story on the strength of family, the complexity of friendship and the generational pursuit of the American Dream. Our editor Joey Magidson just saw the movie at the Telluride Film Festival and will have a review up tomorrow. His Tweet after the screening was as follows:
Armageddon Time: James Gray looks inward for one of his most emotional works. His tale of a middle class family in 1980 Queens has lots to say about the cost of the American Dream. Anne Hathaway, Anthony Hopkins, and Jeremy Strong are excellent.#TellurideFilmFestival #Telluride pic.twitter.com/jaSeBjuvWV
