The Arconia sleuths don’t seem to be leaving the building anytime soon.
Hulu has renewed the mystery comedy, Only Murders in the Building, for a third season at the streamer. The renewal comes six weeks before the series’ second season will conclude.
“Only Murders in the Building is the true crown jewel of our slate,” says Craig Erwich, President of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment, in the press release. “Its appeal across generations, the intersection of humor and heart, and its truly original approach are a hallmark of and testament to Dan, John, Steve, Marty and Selena’s work. We are grateful to be able to continue telling the stories of Charles, Oliver and Mabel to viewers that have consistently shown us they crave more of this story.”
The hit series comes from creators John Hoffman (Grace and Frankie) and Emmy and Academy Award winner Steve Martin. Martin also stars in the series alongside two-time Emmy winner Martin Short and musician, actress, and social media influencer, Selena Gomez (Monte Carlo, Wizards of Waverly Place).
The series has also featured a large ensemble of actors such as Aaron Dominguez (Shaft), Amy Ryan (Gone Baby Gone), Jackie Hoffman (Feud: Bette and Joan), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (High Fidelity), and Tina Fey (30 Rock). The second season has also introduced several well-known actors in new guest and supporting roles, including Cara Delevingne (Paper Towns), Amy Schumer (Life & Beth), and Shirley Maclaine (Terms of Endearment).
The series, hailing from 20th Television, has scored 100% certified fresh ratings for both seasons on Rotten Tomatoes. New episodes of the second season of Only Murders in the Building are available to stream weekly on Tuesdays on Hulu.
