Predictions: Awards Radar TV’s 2022 Emmy Nominations // LIMITED SERIES & TV MOVIE

Is it the year of the limited series, or what? Dopesick, Maid, and The Staircase are the dramatic epics that may dominate the limited or anthology series categories, while lighter fare like The White Lotus and The Dropout are also likely. The question is whether the extremes will also be welcomed, like the dark and disturbing Under the Banner of Heaven or the highly exaggerated history lesson Gaslit and the over-the-top Pam and Tommy. With love the past few years for Watchmen and WandaVision, the future-set Station Eleven shouldn’t be too much of a stretch for a genre entered mostly on true crime. And with a higher caliber than they’ve had in a while, can the eligible TV movies show upon a big way across the acting races?
