A24 Confirms ‘The Whale’ is Actually a 2022 Release

Those of you who were disappointed earlier today when I mentioned that several films, including Darren Aronofsky‘s The Whale, were pegged for 2023 releases, well…rejoice! A24 has reached out to me to confirm that they still have the movie planned for 2022. So, Brendan Fraser and his Best Actor campaign lives on.

As I mentioned in the article, these were just rumors and nothing had been confirmed, so consider this confirmation that at least one of the films mentioned in the piece are still planned for this year. Stay tuned to see what happens with the rest, but this is a welcome bit of good news…
