Interview: Mackenzie Davis Chats About ‘Station Eleven’ and the Various Works of Her Career So Far

I have long been a fan of Mackenzie Davis. In fact, I’ve seen basically every performance that she’s given, and I told her that, too. Davis is one of the more talented actresses in the business who seemingly is always THIS close to breaking out, while being deserving of more leading roles. So, while Station Eleven has provided her with some major acclaim, I can look to Breathe In or Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town and tell folks that I’ve been in or her early. Terminator: Dark Fate has likely been her most widely seen work, but that won’t be the case for long. Having long admired her talents, it was a pleasure to hop on Zoom with her. We spent some time before and after our talk, when the camera was off, talking about our dogs, but there’s plenty of charm still on display her today.

Below, you can see my chat with Davis. The focus is obviously intended to be Station Eleven, and we do talk about her work on the show, but this is a wider ranging discussion than just that. As mentioned above, I’ve seen all of her performances, which even she was impressed by, so it took us to some interesting places. I loved how often she came back to her Terminator flick, something that even surprised her. It’s an absolute delight of a conversation with an absolute delight of a human being, so it’s a safe bet that you’ll enjoy this one. Plus, if you haven’t seen Station Eleven yet, be sure to check it out on HBO Max…

Here now is my interview with actress and Station Eleven star Mackenzie Davis. Enjoy:
