Paul Feig likes to keep busy. The director best known for Bridesmaids and the reboot of Ghostbusters always seems to have several irons in the fire, both on the big and small screens. Feig is a great talent, but also just a delightful person, not to mention impeccably dressed. When the opportunity to talk with Feig came up, I was quick to leap at the chance. In fact, I joked that I was going to wear a three piece suit as well, which he even encouraged on Twitter. I didn’t actually do it, but I chose a shirt he got a kick out of, to say the least. Today, you can see the discussion that we had last month. It’s a good one, too, especially if you like to laugh.
Below, you can see my chat with Feig. We were meeting mostly to talk about his behind the scenes roles with projects like Minx and Welcome to Flatch (the former having just gotten a second season renewal). However, the conversation kind of floats in all different directions, not just tackling how he produces, but when he writes and directs as well. We see him at the helm of something new soon in The School for Good and Evil, as well as a sequel to A Simple Favor. So, he’s certainly not lacking for projects. It’s a really good talk, one filled with laughter. Give it a watch and then check out all of Feig’s projects, if you haven’t already…
Here now is my interview with Paul Feig. Enjoy:
Minx is available on HBO Max and Welcome to Flatch can be seen on Fox!
