Rumor: Warner Bros is Considering Dylan O’Brien to Replace Ezra Miller as The Flash

After several arrests and public outbursts against actor Ezra Miller, including two very recent arrests, Warner Bros. could finally be ready to make a change and replace him as The Flash.

Sources close to the situation have reported that Dylan O’Brien is being discussed to replace him for the future of the DC Extended Universe (or DCEU). It’s just a rumor for now, but if it turns out to be true, we’d see Miller in The Flash, but O’Brien going forward.

Again, this has yet to be confirmed. That being said, replacing Miller could potentially be inevitable at this point, and a young face like Dylan O’Brien could be a good choice going forward. It would also make sense to replace Miller due to Warner Bros. Discovery recently announcing plans to overhaul DC altogether. If ever there was a time, it might be now.

Miller was expected to star in future DCEU projects as Flash, including the standalone film The Flash that was supposed to release this November, but was delayed in the wake of Miller’s arrests (related or unrelated). If O’Brien is going replace Miller, it’s unlikely that they would reshoot the movie, so this would be with an eye towards the future.

The Flash is currently scheduled to release June 23rd, 2023.
