Marvel’s Ironheart is getting ready to begin production very soon, as the series has found its directors. Sam Bailey, known for helming episodes of Dear White People, and Angela Barnes, known for the Blindspotting series, will be co-directing the series.
Bailey will direct episodes one through three, while Barnes will be helming episodes four through six. The series will also be executive produced by Ryan Coogler and his production company, Proximity Media, as part of its exclusive TV deal with Disney. Coogler is also directing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which will introduce Riri Williams/Ironheart, before she makes her debut in her solo project for Disney+.
Judas and the Black Messiah‘s Dominique Thorne will be playing the lead, while Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, and Harper Anthony currently round up the cast. The series will premiere in 2023.
