Box Office Report for the Week of March 6

There’s a new Batman movie in theatres in the form of Matt ReevesThe Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as the titular superhero. This marks the first solo Batman movie since 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises.

The film earned the top spot at the box office this weekend, earning $128.5M in its domestic theatrical debut this weekend. It added $120 million from 74 overseas markets, taking its global debut to $248.5 million.

This marks the pandemic era’s second-best opening, behind only December’s Spider-Man: No Way Home with $260.1M.

Coming in second place this weekend with $11.0M, after leading both the prior two frames, Uncharted crossed the $100M threshold. That makes it the second title released in 2022 to do so, alongside The Batman.

In third place was Dog, which earned a weekend total of $6 million across 3,507 locations, dropping 41% from last weekend. Opening in limited release and outside the top ten was After Yang.

  7. Jackass Forever– $1.36M (-57%) – 1,981 theatres
  8. Cyrano – $682K (-51%) – 797 theatres
  9. Scream – $570K (-57%) – 853 theatres
  10. Marry Me – $530K (-72%) – 1,246 theatres
