Billy Crystal to Receive Lifetime Achievement Prize From Critics Choice Awards

Actor and comedian Billy Crystal is set to join a shortlist of entertainers to receive a Lifetime Achievement Prize from the Critics Choice Awards. Crystal is only the seventh person to receive this honor, joining Lauren Bacall, Kevin Costner, Clint Eastwood, Eddie Murphy, and Robert Wise

Billy Crystal has a legendary career spanning film, television, and Broadway. Audiences remember him most from movies like When Harry Met Sally…, City SlickersAnalyze This, and for kids as the voice of Mike Wazowski in Monsters, Inc. First appearing as Jodie Dallas on the television series Soap, many first took notice of Crystal when he hosted and became a cast member on Saturday Night Live

Most recently, Crystal headed to the stage – somewhere he is comfortable with after hosting the Academy Awards nine times – with his one-man show 700 Sundays. Crystal explores his life in the Tony Award-winning show with the same sense of humor we’ve all come to know and love.

The Critics Choice Awards gala will air live on The CW and TBS on Sunday, March 13th, and is hosted by Taye Diggs and Nicole Byer
