Based on the 2005 Danish film of the same name, the first official trailer for Ambulance has been revealed. The film is directed by Michael Bay, who has not directed anything since the 2019 film 6 Underground, but has helped produce since then including Songbird and The First Purge.
Ambulance boasts an impressive leading cast, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Eiza González. The plot synopsis is as follows: The film takes place during one day in Los Angeles. Will Sharp is a working-class guy who desperately needs $231,000 for his wife’s surgery. He reaches out to Danny, a criminal friend and foster brother, who talks him into taking part in a $32 million bank heist. The robbery goes wrong when the two shoot an LAPD officer, and they are soon on the run in an ambulance with an EMT and the dying officer as their prisoners.
Going by that plot synopsis alone, it is clear that this is a film made for Michael Bay. With an insane plot, numerous crashes and high stakes, it will be interesting to see if the quality of the film is lifted due to the incredible cast. If you are a fan of Michael Bay, this trailer will certainly please you.
Ambulance will release in theaters on February 18th 2022. You can watch the trailer for the film below.
