Trailer Released For Halle Berry’s Directorial Debut ‘Bruised’

Bruised..Directed by Halle Berry..Halle Berry’s directorial debut follows a former MMA fighter struggling to regain custody of her son and restart her athletic career.

The trailer for the upcoming Netflix sports drama Bruised has been released.

Bruised is written by Michelle Rosenfarb and is, of course, the directorial debut of Halle Berry. The film stars Berry herself as a disgraced MMA fighter who reunites with her abandoned son and is forced to face her demons as she tries to find redemption as she returns to the MMA world.

The trailer shows Berry’s character, Jackie Justice, starting off low, scrubbing toilets, in an abusive relationship, etc. We see her comeback/redemption start to take shape in the ring after she’s reunited with her kid.

A rough cut of the movie was screened last year at the Toronto International Film Festival. Netflix acquired distribution rights for the film at TIFF, and now a final edit of the film will premiere at AFI Fest. The film will be released on Netflix next month, on November 24th.
