New Christopher Nolan Movie ‘Oppenheimer’ Confirmed for 2023 and Will Star Cillian Murphy

Some new information has been confirmed for the upcoming Christopher Nolan film about theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb.

For one, the film will be simply titled Oppenheimer. The release date of the film was also announced for July 21, 2023. Furthermore, Cillian Murphy, who was already rumored to star in the film, was officially confirmed to star as the title character.

This will be Nolan’s first film not released by Warner Bros. after the handling of Nolan’s last film Tenet, and will be released by Universal, who called the project an “epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.”
