‘The Matrix Resurrections’ Trailer Coming This Thursday

The Wachowski‘s The Matrix film series is without question one of the most popular and influential movie series’ of all time and helped pioneer the action films that we see in today’s world.

But it’s been quite a while since we have seen Keanu Reeves‘ Neo grace the big screen – all the way back in 2003 as a matter of fact with The Matrix Revolutions. Ever since it was announced back in 2019, The Matrix Resurrections has generated quite a lot of hype on the internet, and for good reason. The Matrix is finally coming back.

And although we haven’t yet seen a proper trailer for the film, that’s about to change soon – very, very soon. Today, Warner Bros. Pictures released a short fifteen-second teaser showcasing the iconic red and blue pill from the series against a white backdrop, with the quote “The Choice Is Yours” shown just above.

With this teaser comes confirmation that the first-ever trailer for the film will be released on Thursday, September 9th at 6 AM PT. The film’s cast includes Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson, and Daniel Bernhardt, and is set to be directed by Lana Wachowski.

The Matrix Resurrections is scheduled to be released in theaters by Warner Bros. Pictures on December 22, 2021.
