‘Worth’ Trailer Sees Michael Keaton in Spotlight Once Again

Following his career resurgence in 2014, Michael Keaton has bee no stranger to awards consideration. His performances in Birdman and Spotlight earned him Oscar nominations and as a result, his worth in Hollywood has risen. This morning, Netflix released a trailer for their next feature starring Keaton titled Worth.

The film follows Keaton’s character as he works with colleagues to set up the 9/11 Victim Compensation funds for families affected by the terrorist attacks in 2001.

Based on real life events, this drama sees families of the victims seek out more than the government wants to give them in terms of reparation. Stanley Tucci represents the main force in opposing the government’s initial plan.

While critically, Worth is not receiving the most glowing reviews, its topical and culturally important subject matter could increase come awards season.
