Jennifer Lawrence to Play Sue Mengers in Paolo Sorrentino’s New Biopic

It feels like we haven’t seen Jennifer Lawrence in a movie in a little while. Last time we saw her was her small role in the 2019 film X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Well, on top of her upcoming lead role in the Adam McKay satire Don’t Look Up, Lawrence has picked yet another major leading role.

The role in question is of famous talent agent Sue Mengers in an upcoming, currently untitled, biopic from Academy Award-winner Paolo Sorrentino.

If you’re unfamiliar with Mengers, she’s a trailblazing agent from the 60’s who represented the likes of Michael Caine, Barbra Streisand, and Cher just to name a few. Mengers is said to have a interesting personality, so it’ll be fun to see Lawrence take on the role.

The movie is currently in the middle of a bidding war between Netflix and Apple, with Apple currently being the highest bid at 80 million dollars.

Either way, we’re certainly excited to see Lawrence step back in as a leading lady playing such an icon.
