‘Loki’ Season Two Announced!

If you have seen the last episode of Loki (you can read our recap here), chances are you’ve seen its mid-credits scene, which reveals that Loki will indeed return in a second season. No additional details were announced beyond the news of a second season, but this is surely an exciting time for Marvel fans, especially after the series’ incredible cliffhanger ending, likely making audiences wanting more of the story and likely setting up multiple “multiversal” events from future films and series.

Speaking of multiverses, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki is also expected to appear in Sam Raimi‘s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, though Marvel has not officially announced that, or even spoken on the matter. It could also be a mistake on THR’s part, just as Deadline reported that Robert Downey Jr. would appear as Tony Stark in Black Widow, but is nowhere to be found in the finished film.

We know, however, that Tom Hiddleston will return as Loki, in a little less than a month from now with the animated Disney+ series What If…?, set to hit the streaming service on August 11th, with new episodes released every Wednesday. Look forward to it if you’re in desperate need of more MCU.
