The movies have returned. The week of June 25th is, by far, the pandemic’s most important week in terms of box-office with the release of the highly anticipated F9: The Fast Saga. According to BoxOfficePro, F9‘s opening weekend started at $70 million, which is the best since December 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which opened to $177.38 million when it opened two years ago. It’s great to see many screenings of F9 selling out in many parts of the world, showing great signs for a return to normalcy, and hopefully, soon, we will finally put this pandemic behind us. Whether you like the Fast & Furious movies or not, you can’t deny that these movies need to be experienced on the biggest screen possible for maximum effect.
