‘The Suicide Squad’ Gets a Stylish New Trailer

David Ayer‘s 2016 film Suicide Squad proved to be an almost universally disliked movie amongst both audiences and critics alike. But when it was announced last year that Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn would be in the director’s chair for a brand new reboot titled The Suicide Squad that promised to right the wrongs of the original, more and more fans seemed to be on board.

In March of this year, we got our first official trailer for the film, which stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Sylvester Stallone, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Peter Capaldi just to name a few, promised tons of bloody, hilarious goodness that we know Gunn is capable of delivering.

A newly released trailer from today, known as the “Rain” trailer, showcases even more of the craziness that we can expect to see in all its glory when the film ultimately releases in theatres on August 6, 2021.

The Suicide Squad is scheduled to be released theatrically on August 6, 2021 through Warner Bros. Pictures and will be available for streaming on HBO Max sometime within January 2022.
