We live in a day and age where superhero movies are being churned out seemingly every other month. Naturally, a lot of people are getting superhero fatigue, as a lot of them strike viewers as too familiar. But filmmaker Andy Muschietti, who previously helmed It and its sequel It Chapter Two, aims to reinvigorate superhero films with his upcoming project The Flash, which is currently scheduled to be released on November 4, 2022 through Warner Bros. Pictures.
The film, produced by Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti with a screenplay by Christina Hodson, will see the return of Ezra Miller‘s Barry Allen / The Flash, who reprises his role from the DC Extended Universe. Not only that though, but Michael Keaton is set to return as a much older version of Batman, from an alternative universe to the two Batman films he was featured in 1989 and 1992 respectively.
Although we still have a ways to go until we can feast our eyes on The Flash and see Keaton back in action as the Caped Crusader, Andy Muschietti has taken to his Instagram account to share an image of Keaton’s Batman symbol with is brandished with some blood splotches.
