Hulu has officially set premiere dates for two of its highly anticipated summer series, both of which will be starting in August.
First, we’ve got Nine Perfect Strangers, the adaptation of the bestselling book by Liane Moriarty from David E. Kelley, reuniting the duo that brought us Big Little Lies. Telling the story of a boutique health and wellness resort where nine strangers go in order to heal and “get on a path to a better way of living”, events take a much different course than what they were expecting. The incredible cast of the series includes Nicole Kidman (furthering the Big Little Lies reunion), Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone, and Manny Jacinto.
Nine Perfect Strangers will premiere on August 18th, with new episodes each week.
Premiering a couple of weeks later, on August 31st, also with new episodes each week, is Only Murders in the Building, the new series from Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman, and John Hoffman. Billed as a “comedic murder-mystery series for the ages”, the series follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez) whose obsession with true crime takes on a real life twist when they find themselves caught up in a grisly murder mystery of their own at their Upper West Side apartment building. The series also stars Aaron Dominguez and Amy Ryan.
