While many festivals struggled with figuring out an effective way of adjusting to the state of the world amidst the COVID pandemic, the Sundance Film Festival in 2021 was able to crack the code and create an event that everyone was satisfied with.
With that level of success, it’s no surprise that the Sundance Institute has announced today a planned hybrid model for their 2022 festival, combining in-person and online screenings for the event that will officially take place from January 20-30 next year.
In an announcement released today, the Festival stated, “We are in the process of designing a safe and accessible Festival where our audiences and artists can come together to celebrate and discover new work, and each other. Mark your calendars and stay tuned: this summer we will have more details”
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any additional details if and when they come in.
