Janelle Monáe Joins ‘Knives Out’ Sequel

Another day, another Knives Out sequel cast member being announced. After the last two days have seen the reveals of Dave Bautista and Edward Norton joining Daniel Craig in the sequel to Rian Johnson’s hit 2019 murder mystery, today sees another big name joining the cast – the one and only Janelle Monáe, according to Deadline

Who knows what tomorrow may bring? Or should we say *who* tomorrow will bring?

Plot details on the film are still unknown, beyond the fact that Craig’s Benoit Blanc will return for another mystery, following the Hercule Poirot strategy of taking the popular film’s star detective and inserting him into another exciting mystery surrounded by a big ensemble played by major league actors.

It was reported earlier in the year that Netflix had secured the rights to not one but two Knives Out sequels, with these cast members all signing up for the first one, which will begin production this summer in Greece. Keep your eyes open for more cast announcements that seem as though they’ll be coming very soon.
