Vancouver Critics Continue the Love Train for ‘Nomadland’

The Vancouver Film Critics Circle have announced their winners for the 2020 awards season today, and the Nomadland train rolls on, with another round of wins for Chloé Zhao’s film in Best Picture, Best Director (Zhao), and Best Actress.

With the film on Hulu now there has been a little bit of resistance to its placement as the season’s clear frontrunner, but will it be enough to derail this unstoppable critics’ juggernaut? We’ll find out soon, as anything can happen once the televised awards start coming in, beginning this Sunday with the Golden Globes.
