Joey’s Home Movies For the Week of February 1st – Kevin Costner Says ‘Let Him Go’

Welcome back to my Home Movies! Today, it’s a very small slate, headlined by Kevin Costner‘s latest outing, Let Him Go. Forgive the quick and dirty version of the column, as we’re a little preoccupied by the Sundance Film Festival, but stay tuned for a larger version soon. In the meantime, read on for a bit more, and check out our festival coverage for what we’ve been up to the past few days…

Joey’s Top Pick

Focus Features

Let Him Go

Kevin Costner and Diane Lane starring in an adult-centered action flick/thriller with elements of a Western? They don’t make things like Let Him Go that often anymore, so that’s worth taking note of. With a supporting cast that includes Lesley Manville, this wasn’t some throwaway release late in 2020. With some solid acting by Costner and Lane, as well as a relatable revenge element to it, it’s no surprise that this one met with a better reception than expected. Let Him Go may be the only real notable option this week, but that takes nothing away from its quality. Especially if you like Kevin Costner, be sure to pick this one up!

Also Available This Week

(As noted earlier, the column will be fuller next week. Apologies for the Sundance related distraction!)
