Awards Categories Have Been Set By Netflix for ‘La bola negra’ with the Entire Cast Going Supporting

It sure seems like the big Oscar hopeful for Netflix this year is La bola negra. Ever since it debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, the movie has been winning audiences over, cementing its status as an awards season player. As such, the streamer has decided on category placements for the film, which you can read about below.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the whole cast of the film will be competing in Supporting categories. That means Guitarricadelafuente, who some thought might be pushed in Best Actor, will instead be in the Best Supporting Actor race, alongside co-stars Miguel Bernardeau, Carlos González, and Milo Quifes. Likewise, Glenn Close, Penélope Cruz, and Lola Dueñas and will be campaigned in Best Supporting Actress. Adjust your predictions accordingly.
