Official Trailer Released for Paul Greengrass’ ‘The Uprising’ Starring Andrew Garfield

Moments ago, Focus Features released the official trailer for The Uprising from writer/director Paul Greengrass. Starring Andrew Garfield as the leader of the infamous Peasants’ Revolt in England, the cast also includes Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller, Woody Norman, Katherine Waterston, and Sky Yang. This one gets released in theaters on September 11th, so a festival run might be a question mark, so stay tuned there.

The synopsis from Focus is as follows:

Andrew Garfield stars as the legendary leader of a ferocious rebellion against the tyranny of King Richard II. As war burns across England, he forms an army of the people to face the King’s might in a fight for justice and survival.
