George Clooney has long had a strong relationship with the Venice Film Festival. Among the films he’s either starred in directed, or both, several have premiered in Italy, including Good Night, and Good Luck, Gravity, The Ides of March, and Jay Kelly. So, he’s a staple of the festival. Now, he’ll be receiving the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 83rd edition of the fest. More below.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Clooney will be honored by the festival during its September 2nd to 12th dates. Venice will announce its lineup for 2026 later on this month, on July 23rd, but for now, we know one part of its programming will be a tribute to Clooney.
