Paramount+ to be the Home of the ‘Cop Land’ Series from James Mangold

The film Cop Land is an underrated classic from James Mangold. It also has a story that fits decently well as a television adaptation. So, it’s no surprise that a series is in development from writer/director Mangold. Now, its home is known, and given what we now know, it’s a spot that isn’t surprising, either.

According to Deadline, Paramount+ has won the rights to develop the show. As the home of Landman and MobLand already, a Cop Land show would be very on brand. Star Sylvester Stallone also has a relationship with Paramount+, so there’s at least the remote chance that he could be a part of this incarnation as well. The Old Man co-creator Robert Levine will serve as showrunner, while producing and writing with Mangold. More when we have it.
