Artists Equity Unveils Writers Room Initiative

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon‘s Artists Equity is a production company that continues to try and do things a little differently. Notably, they have a revenue sharing deal with the whole cast and crew of their projects that rewards everyone for a successful film. Now, they’re developing an in-house writers room initiative that will generate more potential movies under their banner. More below.

According to Variety, Affleck and Damon are advising the program alongside writer Eric Roth. There have been two pilot programs already, with this third round representing the official launch, mixing old and new talent. Time will tell what kind of films we eventually get from this, but it’s certainly a strong resource for all sorts of screenwriters.
