Best Picture Goes to ‘One Battle After Another’ at the 98th Oscars!

The book has now been closed on the 98th Oscars, with the biggest award of the night, Best Picture, going moments ago to Paul Thomas Anderson‘s One Battle After Another. The night was a good one for the movie, as it took home six in total, for Picture, Anderson for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay, Sean Penn for Best Supporting Actor, Best Casting, and Best Film Editing. Next in line was Sinners, which scored Academy Award wins in Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, Best Original Screenplay Ryan Coogler, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score. Frankenstein took home three Oscars, while KPop Demon Hunters won two. The full results from the Academy Awards are below, with analysis and commentary to come all week. For now, it’s time to celebrate the artists, films, and performers that Oscar bestowed statues upon tonight.
