The First Trailer for ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ Drops One Year Before Movie’s Release

The first trailer for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has been released. Directed by Francis Lawrence and written by Billy Ray, the film is an adaptation of the book of the same name from Suzanne Collins and stars Joseph Zada, Elle Fanning, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., McKenna Grace, Maya Hawke, Ralph Fiennes, Iona Bell, Laura Marcus, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Ben Wang, Lili Taylor, Whitney Peak, Molly McCann, and Billy Porter.

Here is the plot synopsis:

“THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING will revisit the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.”
