We’re only weeks out now from a new Yorgos Lanthimos film hitting theaters. Focus Features will release Bugonia in theaters on October 24th, expanding wide the next week on Halloween, but today they revealed the second official trailer for the movie. As a bonus, it also features our own editor Joey Magidson’s quote in the trailer, calling it “one of the best movies of the year.” High praise, which you can see more of here in his rave review out of the Telluride Film Festival.
Jesse Plemons and Emma Stone star for Lanthimos, who directs a screenplay from Will Tracy, adapting the Korean film Save the Green Planet! Aidan Delbis is the other main featured role in the cast. The brief synopsis of the movie is still as follows: “Two conspiracy obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.”
