One of the biggest movies still looking for distribution after playing at various film festivals is The Testament of Ann Lee. Starring Amanda Seyfried, the movie has gotten solid reviews, with Seyfried especially drawing strong notices. Well, a distributor has stepped up to acquire it, with some very aggressive release plans, to boot.
According to Deadline, Searchlight Pictures has not just picked up the film, but are planning to put it out this year. Co-writer/director Mona Fastvold was in the Oscar race last year for The Brutalist with partner Brady Corbet, who co-wrote here, and now she’ll be back in it this year. More on Searchlight’s plans soon.
